I’ve selected the search edit fields and set it’s “Default” property to the Barcode1 control output. My next step was to configure the barcode scanner to filter out items based on the scanned value. In current example the scanner is sized at 640x 501, at the smallest size I could set to get successful scans with my devise (this really depends on the resolution of your camera). Based on my testing, the maximum size iOs can support successfully is at 640×700. Also using a full screen experience can be very costly on the memory consumption, particularly on iOs devices. As general guidance, a size going below the half of the screen height is likely to provide a too low of an image quality for good barcode detection. Once added there is a key step in a successful application/ The scanner is feeding the live image from the camera stream and it is key to size the barcode control to the optimal value for your targeted devices. The barcode control is available under Insert>Media. This would make managing the assets so much faster, no need to type in the code anymore! Let’s move to our next step of the tutorial where I’ll be adding a barcode scanner control that would filter from list of items to the item scanned. Next, I’ve configured the fields in the gallery to point to “SerialNumber” and “title” as shown in the next picture:Ģ: Customize the first screen to filter records based on barcode scanning To show inStock/outOfStock status as blue and red respectively, I used an If expression that switches the Fill color accordingly. Once I got the app generated I’ve switched the layout to have a status bar on the right side. With the Equipment entity ready use, I’ve opened Studio and start creating and app from data using Common Data Model as Connection. Next I’ve opened it in Excel and added couple of records The entity already has a field named “Title”, so I’ll quickly added “SerialNumber” and InStock fields as follows: To create this Entity, I went to clicked “New Entity” and named my table Equipment. To keep the tutorial simple, I’ve stored description of the item is stored along in the very same table. Let’s imagine I have an inventory of assets and I’ve labeled them all with Code39 barcodes for internal tracking. Step 3: Fine tune the parameters of the barcode and try it out 1: Create an app from data using Common Data Model Step 2: Customize the first screen to filter records based on barcode being scanned. Step 1: Create an app from data using leveraging Common Data Model. Now that you are familiar with the barcode, let’s quickly get an overview of the tutorial steps: Using a barcode scanner in conjunction with a data source The default zoom is at 50, you can increase it to 70 or more to allow holding your phone to within the desired distance from the barcode (to accommodate tight spaces, etc) Brightness: helps add more light into the picture if you need to scan in dark conditions Camera: Set to the specific value of your device (1,2, 3) that selects the front or the back camera. Zoom: Works just like the zoom feature of a camera. Properties controlling the camera quality This is just to accommodate the device memory constraints while still providing a good scanning experience. On phones, this value needs to be lowered between 45 to 35. By default, this is set to 60 scan per second for fast detection. Please refer to the “Barcode types supported” section of the article for more details. BarcodeType: Used to instruct the scanner on the expected barcode type to recognize. When a successful scan occurs a red line highlights the barcode being scanned. Here’s couple of key properties to get you familiar with the barcode control before starting our tutorial: Barcode specific propertiesīarcodedetection: Shows a live detection rectangle while searching for barcodes. This design makes the barcode scanner handle gracefully batch scanning scenarios. Since the camera is in continues capture mode, the barcode scanner detects live the barcode in focus. Key best practices and how to fine tune the barcode scanner parameters to device specific limitations.Īs soon as you add a barcode scanner to your canvas you’ll quickly notice it looks a just like the camera control.Allow the app users to dynamically change key properties.Consume its outputs in conjunction with a data source (using our Common Data Model in this example).Configure the new barcode scanner control. Please do keep up this great engagement to help us refine and mature the barcode scanning experience! It this blog post I’ll give you a quick intro on how to: It was key information for us to shape and focus our first version of barcode scanning. PowerApps community, thank you for providing solid scenarios and further sharing barcodes with us on the Ideas forum. With build 500 you can build a barcode scanning app that works on all your mobile devices and… in your Chrome browser.

Venue: Hynes Convention Center, 900 Boylston St., Bostonĭon’t miss out on New England’s premier tattoo event.Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States.Retail Displays & Corporate Environments.Xclaim Fabric Table Top Pop Up Displays. With so much to offer, and stunning artwork to see on the human skin, it is no mystery on how this tattoo expo has been growing annually. Hundreds of artists, thousands of guests, and a few celebrities attended at this year’s convention and it is only getting bigger. Like, a beautiful burlesque queen named LouLou D’Vil, the sexy Cervena Fox performing a vampire dance, and Plomo The Magician, who will have you wondering if what you saw just actually happened. Oh, and let’s not forget about the man who chose a spectator at random to yank on some hooks that were hanging from inside his lower eyelids, which allowed you to completely see his bloodshot eyeballs! Are you able to visualize that? Alright, now I will let you guys use your imagination on the additional performers. You know, like a woman swallowing a long sword, and then another woman hammers a nail inside her nostril and has a guy from the crowd pull it out with his teeth. To keep the American traditional tattoo culture alive, a performance by Freakshow Delux really got the crowd going, as sideshow performers presented some out-of-the-ordinary bodily activities. The convention had quite a few entertainers that hit the stage. Tattoo artist Chuey Quintanar with celebrity guest, Hazel E, from the TV show Love & Hip Hop. Some of the artists who offered their skills and knowledge were: Carlos Torres, Nikko Hurtado, Norm, Matt Hurtado, and Stefano Alcantara. In addition, Sullen Clothing was on a quest for their model search, so they can seek and find their next “Sullen Angel.”Įducational seminars were offered to guests in a separate facility next to the convention, which consisted of a variety of drawing and painting workshops, along with lettering techniques. Copro Gallery Tattoo Art Exhibit featured an alluring art installation of paintings, sculptures, and taxidermy art. Massage therapists were also present to soothe artists who needed a small break, or guests who simply wanted to unwind. There were numerous sponsors and vendors who were there to show their support and provide merchandise to attendees. A special limited edition tattoo machine and signing by Mister Cartoon was also released on Saturday. Also, several tattoo shops participated at the convention such as: Cryptic Tattoo, Deer’s Eye Studio, Hammerhead Tattoo, Ink Slingers, Todd Bailey Tattoo, Love Letters Tattoo, Ink & Dagger Tattoo, and many more. There were tattoo artists from around the globe who traveled to sunny California to tattoo at this event, alongside local artists.Ī few of the headlining artists were: Bob Tyrrell, Victor Portugal, Tatu Baby, Eric Gonzalez, Chuey Quintanar, Megan Jean Morris, Boris Tattoo, Freddy Negrete, and Jess Yen. Special guests included: Paul Booth, Stefano Alcantara, Norm, and Big Sleeps. The expo was hosted by legendary tattoo artists Nikko Hurtado and Carlos Torres. Inked Magazine presented The Golden State Tattoo Expo at the Pasadena Convention Center on Friday, January 27th through Sunday, the 29th. Where a film like Capturing the Friedmans uses the uncertainty of truth as a kind of entertainment, Aileen Wournos: The Selling of a Serial Killer uses it to suggest the failure of our unsympathetic judicial system. The only reality here is that truth is slippery, and that’s something Broomfield understands more than most documentary filmmakers working today. Aileen: Life and Death of a serial killer. If there’s a confused tone to the film, it’s more or less appropriate. (After seeing the film, the failure of Patty Jenkins’s outsider-looking-in peepshow Monster is more obvious, though Charlize Theron’s performance has grown considerably more impressive.) Broomfield doesn’t use the woman’s past to justify her bad behavior-neither does Wournos, through her subconscious primal screams would suggest otherwise. From a viewer’s perspective, the movie certainly captured how muddled the truth can be, and chilling. A victim of rape, torture and incest (it’s alleged that she slept with her brother and that her grandfather may also be her father), a clearly insane Wournos emerges as a woman betrayed by the world. British documentarian Nick Broomfield creates a follow-up piece to his 1992 documentary of the serial killer Aileen Wuor dG1fckV4aGloQVpHeGc. Until the end, it’s unclear whether Wournos killed in self-defense-she tells Broomfield on-camera that her victims were innocent, but when she doesn’t know that she’s being taped she tells an entirely different story. Aileen : life and death of a serial killer Edition: Widescreen version View all formats and editions Publisher: Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, Burbank. Just as The Selling of a Serial Killer could have inadvertently gotten her a new trial, Wournos seems to deliberately use Broomfield’s new documentary as a means to speed up her execution. But more compelling than watching Broomfield’s theories deflate before his eyes is the picture of Wournos finally succumbing to the cruelty of the judicial system. If Broomfield seems more detached than usual that’s because he has been placed in the unusual position of having to confront the legal implications his documentary approach may have on a woman’s life. Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer allows Broomfield to not only look at Aileen’s tragic life for a second time but to reassess the very nature of truth and the way it was distorted, contextualized and rationalized by the media, our judicial system and, even, Wournos herself. A haunting exploration of a ruined and wasted life. Almost a decade later, Broomfield was subpoenaed to appear in court during one of Wuornos’s appeals and extracts from his documentary were used to discredit the woman’s ex-hippie lawyer at the time of her 1992 conviction. The film stands quite chillingly as a final statement from a woman trying to fight her own commodification. Conspiracy theorist Nick Broomfield’s Aileen Wournos: The Selling of a Serial Killer documented the controversy and media frenzy surrounding Florida state police officers who tried to sell the story of “America’s first female serial killer” to the highest bidder. Most endurance athletes are familiar with high carbohydrate diets, but the importance of protein (both total daily intake and immediate post-exercise consumption) may not be as well-known by athletes. High carbohydrate diets continue to be recommended in endurance athletes.Below summarises the key recommendations for macronutrients, hydration, and supplements. However athletes often look to supplements. It is recommended that athletes obtain nutrition from whole foods. Elite athletes, after maximising training adaptations, often look to gain marginal benefits with supplements. The world of endurance nutrition is continually evolving and the commercial supplement industry is ever-changing. Įndurance Exercise Performance in Ageing The mass/volume ratio, and therefore the maximum systolic wall stress, remains constant in contrast to pathologic forms of hypertrophy. Cardiac dimension: The thickness of both, the septum and posterior wall increases to the same extent as the interior volume. The diameters of the larger conduit and resistance arteries are increased minimizing resistance to flow. To accommodate the higher aerobic demands and perfusion levels, arteries, arterioles, and capillaries adapt in structure and number. In parallel with the greater maximal cardiac output, the perfusion capacity of the muscle is increased, permitting for greater oxygen delivery. The functionally most important adaptation is the improvement in maximal cardiac output which is the result of an enlargement in cardiac dimension, improved contractility, and an increase in blood volume, allowing for greater filling of the ventricles and a consequent larger stroke volume. Īerobic exercise training leads to cardiovascular changes that markedly increase aerobic power and lead to improved endurance performance. eg, if you are a 30 km cyclist you have a high level of general endurance, you can perform at a relatively high level also at 100km, but you can’t beat 100 km cyclists who have been developing their distance specific endurance. The better your general endurance the better you can stand longer efforts at various sports disciplines. General endurance characterises the ability of the whole body to tolerate endurance exercises and diminish fatigue.eg, if you’re a 1500m runner, you use a combination of endurance training methods to perform better at your specific distance. It can be characterised as a combination of various types of endurance needed to maximise the ability to succeed in the discipline. The better the sport specific endurance, the better performance at this specific sport. Specific endurance is the ability to stand against fatigue in sport specific conditions. It can be divided into general endurance and specific endurance. Endurance exercise means a general ability to do any kind of physical activity that increases your heart rate above 50% of your maximum. At that point, click to close the selection. To finish the selection, trace your way back to the starting point and place the Magnetic Lasso Tool over the origin point until you see a small circle appear next to the tool’s mouse pointer icon. You may need to do this in crevasses and corners of the image element. You can also manually click at any point as you are dragging to manually set an anchor point. Then back up and re-drag the line at the edge of the element. If it adds an anchor point you would rather not have, press “Delete” on your keyboard to delete the previously added fastening points you have created as you drag. As you do this, the tool adds fastening point anchors where it discerns the edges of the object. To turn it off, simply click the same button again.Īfter you have the settings you desire, click and drag the pointer of the Magnetic Lasso Tool mouse pointer icon around the border of the image element you are trying to select. If enabled, an increase on the pen pressure when using the Magnetic Lasso Tool causes the edge width setting to decrease. If enabled, the button appears selected with light gray shading in a square around it. If using a stylus tablet, you can click the “Use tablet pressure to change pen width” button in the Tool Options Bar to toggle this feature both on and off. The higher the setting, the softer the edge.Ī picture of a user making a selection with the Magnetic Lasso Tool in Photoshop Elements. The “Feather” slider softens the edge of the selection. A high value increases the frequency with which the Magnetic Lasso Tool sets its fastening points at the edge of the image element as you trace its border. The “Frequency” slider lets you set a number between 0 and 100. A lower percentage detects lower-contrast variations in color. Setting a higher percentage makes the tool only find edges that sharply contrast with their surroundings. This is how the tool finds the edges of image elements. The “Contrast” option slider lets you set a percentage to choose the sensitivity of the Magnetic Lasso Tool to variations in the contrast between pixels. The first option is the “Width” slider, which lets you set a pixel range from the pointer within which the Magnetic Lasso Tool will look for the border of the item it is tracing. However, the Magnetic Lasso Tool has a few more options. The first few options shown in the Tool Options Bar for this tool are the same you can set for any selection tools. Then click the “Magnetic Lasso Tool” button in the Tool Options Bar. To use the Magnetic Lasso Tool in Photoshop Elements, click the “Lasso Tools” button in the Toolbox. This tool helps you select objects with complex, irregular edges set against a high-contrast background. The Magnetic Lasso Tool in Photoshop Elements is a great selection tool that lets the selection’s border “snap” to the pixilated edges of an element you trace in an image. OS X El Capitan improves Mission Control to incorporate this feature across multiple spaces. This feature is slightly similar to, although less extensive than, the snap-assist feature in Windows 7 (and later) and several Linux desktop environments, such as GNOME. OS X El Capitan introduces new window management features such as creating a full-screen split screen limited to two app windows side by side in full screen by pressing the green button on left upper corner of the window or Control+ ⌘ Cmd+ F keyboard shortcut, then snapping any supported other window to that full screen application. Window management Īn example of the split screen view in OS X El Capitan OS X El Capitan also adopts LibreSSL in replacement of OpenSSL used in previous versions. Apple's typeface San Francisco replaces Helvetica Neue as the system typeface. OS X El Capitan supports Metal, Apple's graphics API introduced in iOS 8 to speed up performance in games and professional applications. The maximum amount of memory that could be allocated to the graphics processor has been increased from 1024 MB to 1536 MB on Macs with an Intel HD 4000 GPU. Compared to OS X Yosemite, Apple says that opening PDFs is four times faster, app switching and viewing messages in Mail is twice as fast and launching apps is 40% faster. OS X El Capitan includes features to improve the security, performance, design and usability of OS X. The upgrade varies in size depending upon which Apple Mac computer it is being installed on in most scenarios, it will require about 6 GB of disk space. The following computers support features such as Handoff, Instant Hotspot, AirDrop between Mac computers and iOS devices, as well as the new Metal API: They can only run OS X El Capitan if they have at least 2 GB of RAM. Of these computers, the following models were equipped with 1 GB RAM as the standard option on the base model when they were shipped originally. These computers can run El Capitan, provided they have at least 2 GB of RAM, with an exception: For example, Apple notes that the newly available Metal API is available on "all Macs since 2012". System requirements Īll Macintosh products that can run Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite can run El Capitan, although not all of its features will work on older models. OS X El Capitan was released to end users on September 30, 2015, as a free upgrade through the Mac App Store. There were multiple betas released after the keynote. The first public beta was made available on July 9, 2015. The first beta of OS X El Capitan was released to developers shortly following the WWDC keynote on June 8, 2015. OS X El Capitan received far better reviews than Yosemite. El Capitan is the final version to be released under the name OS X. Following the California location-based naming scheme introduced with OS X Mavericks, El Capitan was named after a rock formation in Yosemite National Park. Record video games on your Mac or PC via Elgato Game Capture HD. That will allow you to: Play video games on your TV via HDMI. I just want the game and chat audio to be able to be mixed on the fly when recording. Can you use an HDMI splitter on an Xbox? Yes, you can use an HDMI splitter with a Xbox 360 and Elgato Game Capture HD. I have an external mic and I can easily have my computer pick it up. By doing this you could still balance chat and game volume with the mixamp and it would perform just like it would if you weren't recording. That way the El Gato would receive audio from optical and chat from usb (all inputted through the mixamp). What I was trying to do was split the mic input/audio output (chat audio via USB and game volume via optical like normal) that the Astro headset is receiving and send a copy to the elgato. There is no way to balance the volumes of the two via mixamp nor is there a way via PS4 so you're stuck w/ whatever mic volume other people have their mics set to. The audio chat input is still the mixamp so you can talk via headset mic and ppl can hear you.The thing is, by doing this you get both chat and game audio via optical to mixamp. Then you send an aux from the stream port of the mixamp to the aux input of the elgato. They output both game audio and chat audio via HDMI by setting device audio output to tv/HDMI. If you could link my specific products that would be amazing as well. If anybody could help me figure out what needs to be done I would greatly appreciate it. Here is a diagram of what I am proposing. One of the audio output signals would go into my capture device and the other would be combined with the mic input signal I originally split via a mic output, audio input splitter that is connected to my headphone aux cord (that outputs mic and inputs audio). I then could split the audio output signal again. I was wondering if there is such a thing as an aux audio and mic splitter and if there is I'd like a link to it so I could buy it (having a hard time figuring out if this is even a thing).Īlso, if that isn't a thing I was wondering if I could split the original combined signal into an audio output signal and a mic input signal. Right now I only have a aux audio splitter so when I use it I can't use the mic attached to my headphones to communicate with my friends on the ps4. I need to be able to split the aux audio output and mic input. I am trying to record my ps4 chat and game audio while maintaining my ability to my astro mixamp. |
